Welcome to a new month, y'all! We have officially started our 2024 wedding season, and diving head first into our Spring wedding marathon very soon. But before we surround ourselves with all things juicy and bright, I couldn't let another week go by without revisiting one of our favorite Fall days from 2023. Full of chic modern aesthetics with a touch of sweetness and a WHOLE lot of fun - Briana and Derek's love story culminated in a stunning celebration this past September, at on our our favorite venues Common House Richmond. Their wedding was a perfect blend of modern city romance, with hints of floral elegance, reflecting the couple's youthful spirit and shared passion for travel and sports.
We absolutely LOVE Common House, and for good reason! The open-air courtyard of Common House provided an intimate setting for the couple to exchange vows, creating a magical atmosphere for their special day! Not only does the courtyard provide the most intimate setting, but the main event space (Union Hall) is the dreamiest space when filled with soft candle light and the sounds of loved ones sharing a meal. Our couple opted for seating their guests at long tables, giving dinner a feeling of community and warmth.
For the tabletop decor, the couple opted for a gorgeous garden style, featuring bud vases, soft colorful florals, and an abundance of candles. Each seat was adorned with simple black escort name cards, and the couple took special care to write hand-written notes for each guest, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the celebration.
Briana, a vision of modern sophistication, wore a sleek gown adorned with the most delicate details. The choice of classic black tuxes for the groomsmen complemented the bride's attire, resulting in wedding party portraits that were nothing short of *chef's kiss* perfection. The couple's evening wedding exuded chic elegance, with groomsmen dressed in sleek all-black attire and bridesmaids stunning in beautiful emerald green gowns. From introducing their wedding party with a sports announcer style to a grand entrance featuring a t-shirt toss, the day was a non-stop celebration. One of our favorite inclusions in their day, was the addition of content creation! It's been a big trend here lately and we absolutely love it.
